What is the max monitor range?

The max range will vary based on environmental obstructions (walls, workout equipment, etc.) between the app and your heart rate monitor(s) and the Bluetooth capabilities of your phone or tablet.

In a gym with a high number of obstructions we've seen a max distance of 30-50'. However, there are a number of steps you can take to make sure you achieve the highest distance.

The most important is to make sure there is an unobstructed line-of-sight from your phone/tablet to each heart rate monitor.

If you're coming from another heart rate monitoring app you should see the same range you saw in other apps (all apps communicate with the monitors in a similiar manner).

If you're having any issues related to range send us an email. We can help diagnose any issues and get you setup with a possible software-based solution.

How many monitors can be connected at once?

The maximum number of heart rate monitors that can be connected depends on the Bluetooth capabilities of your phone or tablet.

We have had gyms run workouts with 25 monitors at the same time.

If you're unsure about the Bluetooth capabilities of your device request a demo and we'll give you a free trial so you can make sure Heart Rate Ninja works for your needs.

Invite Codes link clients to a specific gym or trainer. This is important for gym members, as this is what allows you to participate in their challenges, display on their monthly leaderboard and makes it easy to connect with other Ninjas at your gym!

How do I add my gym members to the app?

You can create all of your user profiles from a single device (e.g. an iPhone/iPad owned by your gym). Alternatively, in the profile you created for your gym, you will find an invite code. Ask your members to create a Heart Rate Ninja profile and enter your invite code when asked. These members will automatically appear on your gym's iPad/iPhone.
